Been messing around with a couple Linux distros, pretty much all weekend.

One is a small, lightweight version that can be run from a burned CD (doesn't have to be installed to your hard drive). It's called SLAX.

The other is the full version of Slackware Linux, which SLAX is based on. Both are fast, but not being all that familiar with Linux - - I'm slow.

I tried Linspire a few months back. It's really slow. Much slower that windows. In fact, I don't think I could get used to using it because of that.

Anyway, I'm posting this from my desktop running Slackware Linux. Not sure how long I'll keep it, but it's been fun so far. Like putting a jigsaw puzzle together is fun for some people I imagine. =)
